Aikido Martial Arts
Search programsThis program is designed to help your child discover the art and discipline of Aikido — a Japanese martial art focused on balance, awareness, confidence, self-control, and self-defense without aggression.
Our Aikido Kids Classes run throughout the year in seasonal sessions.
Each class includes practical movement drills, partner exercises, games that build focus and coordination, and short demonstrations at the end of each session where students can show what they've learned.
Class duration:
- 45 minutes — ages 6 to 8
- 60 minutes — ages 9 to 12
(We also offer a 1-week Summer Aikido Camp with daily 3-hour sessions, available in morning or evening options. The camp blends Aikido practice with fun activities that teach teamwork, discipline, and respect in an engaging way.)
All classes are led by experienced, certified Aikido instructors who specialize in working with children — helping them grow in confidence, coordination, and calm focus both on and off the mat.
Classes are balanced by age, skill level, and sometimes gender to create a positive and encouraging learning environment.
Each group meets once per week for consistent, skill-building practice that keeps kids active, focused, and inspired.
Your child will also receive simple home practice exercises (15 minutes per day) to continue improving their skills during the week. Your participation and encouragement with these daily exercises are greatly appreciated and will support your child's faster learning and growth.
